EXPERIENCE

Jan 1996 to Present Owner of Pelger Engineering & Construction, Inc. focused on managing design and construction of building projects to achieve great value, efficiency and integrity, and having a good time doing it. Notable projects include manufacturing, distribution and corporate office facilities, 2500 seat church auditorium, largest car wash in North America, over 600 luxury apartment units and several green building designs.

Oct 1988 to Jan 1996 President of Consolidated Construction, overseeing all operations. Grew company from $8,000,000/yr. to $22,000,000/yr. Focused on quality improvement efforts and customer satisfaction. Managed the design and construction of many retirement care, industrial and school projects.
 
Jan 1986 to Oct 1988 Project manager for High Construction Inc. Managed design and construction of many commercial/industrial projects, including several four story corporate offices.
 
Jan 1984 to Jan 1986 Structural/Architectural engineer for Huth Engineers, Inc. Performed complete architectural and structural design, specifications, and supervised drafting on a wide variety of projects.
 
Oct 1982 to Jan 1984 Foreman/Superintendent for Cecil Construction a site contractor located in Wilmington, DE. Ran crews in the field for earthwork, site utilities, road work, and erosion control.
 
Jun 1981 to Oct 1982 Project Engineer for Toews, Ayres, and Huber. Worked on two large wastewater treatment plants and several design build projects.
 
Summer 1990 Received a $5,188 US Department of Energy Grant to study small-scale alcohol fuel production. Designed, built and tested complete ethanol fuel production facility.
 
1975 through 1980 Worked for Clair Brothers Audio, Inc. hanging the PA System for concert tours of Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and Frank Sinatra, among others. This money was used to pay 90% of college tuition and expenses.
